Since 1975, Banff Child Care Centre has been a trusted place where children feel safe, supported, and inspired to learn. Located in the heart of Banff (and operating in partnership with the Town of Banff,) our centre offers a welcoming environment that balances thoughtful early learning with meaningful play. Children spend their days across six age-appropriate classrooms and enjoy daily time in our two natural outdoor play spaces, fostering curiosity, confidence, and connection.

As a non-profit organization, we are deeply committed to providing high-quality child care rooted in connection and community. Licensed for 82 full time spaces, our dedicated team (of administrators, Early Childhood Educators, and support staff) work collaboratively to create a safe, nurturing environment where children are supported in their emotional, social, and intellectual growth.
Our Early Learning Perspective
At Banff Child Care Centre, we create a welcoming, responsive environment where every child and family feels safe, respected, and valued. We honour each child’s unique background and strengths, working in partnership with families and the community to support overall well-being and development.
Guided by an emergent, play-based curriculum, educators thoughtfully observe and listen to children, building experiences that reflect their interests and ideas. Through hands-on exploration, children grow socially, emotionally, physically, and creatively—fostering independence, collaboration, and a lifelong love of learning inspired by the Banff environment.

Quality Child Care
Our Centre features six classrooms, a multi-purpose playroom, a commercial-grade kitchen, and two expansive outdoor playgrounds.
Inspiring Environment
Banff Child Care Centre works with Alberta Education to provide children who qualify with specialized supports, including speech, physical, occupational, behavioural, and psychological services. We partner with families to ensure each child feels supported, confident, and ready for kindergarten.

Affordable Child Care Tuition
Through the Government of Alberta’s child care affordability program, parent fees at our centres have been reduced to $326.25 per month, which is equivalent to $15 per day. This reduction helps make high-quality, licensed child care more accessible and affordable for families, while ensuring children continue to receive excellent care and early learning experiences.
Every day we feel peace of mind leaving our children at BCCC. The staff truly care, and it shows in how excited our kids are to go each morning! As parents, it means everything to know our kids are loved, safe, and happy every day. The care, patience, and genuine warmth shown here have made such a positive difference in both our children's growth.

Enrolling our son in the Banff Child Care Centre was the best decision we could have made for his early development.
