Community Connections

We believe in the power of community connections. Children participate in enriching experiences such as intergenerational programs with Cascade House, story time at the Banff Library, outdoor play in Parks Canada’s Cascade Gardens of Time, and tending to a community garden plot with the Town of Banff. These opportunities deepen their sense of belonging and broaden their understanding of the world.

Family connection is at the heart of our philosophy. We host events throughout the year that bring families together, building an active and welcoming community. Educators also foster strong communication through monthly Learning Stories, which capture children’s growth and learning in portfolios or digital formats. Families can share in these milestones while staying connected through our private Facebook page, where updates, events, and everyday experiences are shared.

Our Approach to Early Learning

At Puzzles Child Care we recognize every child as 'Mighty Learners', strong, resourceful, and capable. Our responsive environment is inclusive and designed to capture and nurture all children’s holistic dispositions to learn. Puzzles Child Care is a place of vitality, where children receive meaningful access, support, and opportunities for participation.

Through strong relationships with families, the community, and educators, we create shared understanding and meaningful learning experiences for our early learning citizens. We are also committed to providing foundational support for self-regulation and social-emotional development by using intentional intervention strategies guided by the Pyramid Model.
